How long have you worked in this industry?

29 years

What do you love most about your role?

The organising of the days, and when it all comes good and our guests leave having had a great day. I love keeping everyone happy and making them feel as if their money was well-spent, and take pride in my job when it all goes to plan.

What is your favourite time of year?

The end of August when it’s all about to start, and the end of February when it’s all over and I can go on holiday!

What is your most difficult time of year?

In late June and early July you can get multiple arrivals of birds at the same time, which can be overwhelming. This is the time of early mornings and late nights.

What is your most stressful time of year?

July – I’m absolutely flat out.

What is your least favourite aspect of your job?

When the weather is so bad that you’re up to you ankles in mud. 2010/11 winter was relentless, and almost unbearably wet.
