You will take ownership of specific product lines and supplier relationships, working across the full product lifecycle from sourcing and onboarding through to catalogue management, pricing, compliance and performance analysis.
The role suits someone who is highly organised, analytical and comfortable working with detailed product data, while also being confident liaising directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of product lines end-to-end, including new product onboarding, catalogue updates and lifecycle management.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with UK and international suppliers, including apparel, optics and footwear brands.
• Process and maintain accurate product data (specifications, barcodes, imagery, pricing) across the website and order management system (Linnworks).
• Convert supplier documentation — order confirmations, price lists, spec sheets — into structured, accurate spreadsheets and catalogue entries.
• Monitor stock levels, lead times and supplier performance, flagging risks and opportunities to the wider team.
• Support pricing and margin decisions using sales data, competitor benchmarking and market research.
• Ensure product listings meet UK retail compliance requirements, including labelling, safety standards and customs/HS code classification.
• Analyse product and category sales performance, producing clear reporting and recommendations to inform buying decisions.
• Work closely with marketing and customer service teams to ensure product information is accurate, compelling and up to date.
• Assist with seasonal range planning and new supplier onboarding, including due diligence and contract review support.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
• A degree in a relevant discipline — e.g. business, marketing, retail management, supply chain, data analytics, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including comfort working with large product datasets, formulas and structured spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling product specifications, pricing and compliance data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence liaising with suppliers and internal colleagues.
• A methodical, organised approach to managing multiple product lines and competing priorities.
• Genuine interest in the outdoor, country and sporting goods sector.
• Personal interest in country pursuits, field sports or outdoor/wildlife activities.
Desirable:
• Experience with e-commerce order management systems (e.g. Linnworks) or similar retail platforms.
• Familiarity with UK customs classification (HS codes), import/export processes or retail compliance.
• Understanding of UK consumer law as it relates to online retail (e.g. Consumer Contracts Regulations).
• Prior internship, placement or work experience within retail, procurement or supply chain.
What We Offer
• Hands-on training and mentoring
• Genuine ownership of product lines from an early stage.
• A supportive, small-team environment based at our North Berwick premises.
• Exposure to the full commercial cycle of an online retail business, from supplier negotiation to customer delivery.

• Opportunities for progression as the business grows.
