This stunning photograph of a young peregrine falcon was captured in the Scottish Borders by Tweed ghillie and ArdMoor Expert, Andrew Rohleder. Still mastering the art of flight, this fledgling allowed Andrew to get astonishingly close, resulting in a truly breathtaking shot.
Peregrine falcons are among the fastest creatures on the planet, capable of reaching speeds over 200mph. These powerful and exhilarating birds are making a remarkable comeback. Andrew shares that, thanks to their rising numbers, he is now fortunate enough to see peregrines every year along the River Tweed.
