Having had to say goodbye to my old Hunter wellies that had been my daily wear for a couple of years, I recently bought a pair of Gateway Sportsman 18” 4mm wellington boots
However, I have no regrets as I can honestly say I have never worn such a warm comfortable pair of wellingtons boots that have now been truly put to test in this recent freezing cold wintery weather we are having.
I have a young German Shorthaired Pointer who I walk several times a day in all weather, and these boots have never left me with cold feet despite long walks in -4°C. The calf is easily adjustable at the back which makes this classic green welly look streamline. Even in thick mud on the farm, the truly grippy sole keeps you stable under foot.
There is a women’s version available, however I decided to buy this men’s wellington as I’m a size 7 with quite a wide foot, and this boot fits really well with room to moves my toes. The design of this boot is very flattering on both men and women; they have already been very much admired by friends & family who also live in their boots and are always looking for a boot they can trust!
The combination of the 4mm of neoprene & the flexible rubber make these boots my #1 choice!
