When choosing your size with any walking boot, we recommend that you go up a half or whole size. This allows your feet to expand which the will do when walking all day. It also stops your toes from banging against the front ofyour boot when you are coming downhill. In a modern boot, you won’t get the full benefit of the membrane and technology if you wear a standard pair of socks.
We would recommend investing in socks that have been designed alongside the boots themselves so, in this case, have a look at the Harkila Socks. We would also advise that you take a spare pair with you if you are planning on spending a full day on the hill.
Caring for your walking boots
To care for your leather walking boots we recommend that you wipe them clean after each use and leave them to dry naturally away from any source of heat.
They should be regularly nourished with a leather spray, cream or oil to keep the leather supple and well protected such as the Harkila Leather care and Waterproofer spray.

Breathable Summer Wellington Boots
When the weather gets warmer, neoprene-lined wellington boots are often too warm to wear when you are active. However, for those who spend time outdoors a waterproof wellington is still required when the ground is wet.
Ideally, you need a boot that has a Vibram sole for comfort and shock absorption plus a good outsole for great stability and grip.
