Summer into autumn clothing

Summer into autumn clothing

As summer comes to a close, we look at some autumn country clothing options to keep you warm and dry

It can be a difficult time of year to dress for the outdoors. The temperatures are still too warm for thick, winter jackets. However, some protection is still needed against the ever unpredictable British weather.

Lighter waterproof outer layers are useful for this time of year, keeping you dry whilst not adding unnecessary warmth and weight. With the temperatures beginning to drop, layering becomes more important. This is why you always want there to be a bit of room inside. A base layer or a gilet will help keep you protected against the elements.

We have some suggestions for dressing for these conditions, in town or country. These jackets are all lightweight, with breathable waterproofing and we’ve some suggestions for layering up underneath.
